The internet has a lot of do's and don'ts. Its called the world wide web for a reason. W hatever u put on it, is going to surface around the world forever. That's why u should be careful what u do and write on it. There a lot of positive reasons why people go on the internet. For example, if a Student or teacher decides to go shopping online for a coat or other items. This is considered good positive things you can do on the internet that cant harm others on the world wide web.
However, there negative things that people do that are wrong and sometimes illegal can make the internet a dangerous thing to surface. For example, student using the computer to write nasty things about another student, students using the computer to threaten another students, and teachers using the computer to look up personal information about a student. If you use the internet to say nasty things about another student, it can hurt that persons feelings and make people look at your appearance different. This type of thing is considered bullying and is now illegal, because it leads to the person who is being made fun commit suicide. Another negative thing is using the computer to look up personal information about a student. This can be used for a good reason and a bad reason. If the student knows your going through the internet to look up his personal information, then its legal, because hes giving you the permission to do so. However, if he doesn't know that your snooping around the web to look up his personal info then that's illegal and invading his/her privacy.
